Sappa Creek Lodge offers comfortable country accommodations to its guests.  The four bedroom one and half bathroom house has a fully functional kitchen  with oven range, refrigerator, microwave, and all the pots, pans and dishes you will need.  A spacious dining area.  Large living room for lounging.  A great place for relaxing with friends and family over a cold one.  Perhaps telling  stories of the great shots of the day.

With your accommodations you surely will love the complementary country breakfast.  There is a washer and dryer for your personal laundry needs.  Sometimes there may be mud.  In the laundry area we have provided a chest style freezer, to meet your needs of all the game you hope to harvest.  We provide all the bedding and towels.

This farm has many opportunities to offer.  Perchance your hunt was so successful that you shot your limit.  Ask the Andersons’ about the Indian raid  that took place on the soil in September of 1878.  These were the last Indian raids in the state of Kansas.  Also on the Sappa Creek land is a pale-ontological site.  For several years , academics from  New York, and students from across the country have come to dig, unveiling old fossilized rhinoceroses that date back millions of years.  You can also practice your wing shots, as we have a trap machine, or sight your scope in on a prairie dog as he pops out of his hole.

Items you might think about packing is your fishing pole,  or for the bicyclist, your bike.  Along with the walk in hunting there is some great fishing ponds in this area.  Some people enjoy long bike rides.   Well,  our historic town of Oberlin  is about a twelve mile trip, one way.  There you will find the county museum, which is always charming.  In the summer months one of the drug stores has a delightful old fashion soda fountain.  This is always a fun place to visit .  You might be getting a little hungry.  We would like to recommend  dining at the Landmark Inn.  This is a beautiful place to see and dine at.  The brick streets make  many visitors smile and often say how charming they are.

Do you have horses?  Well if you do we have remarkable pastures to ride in.  Just let  your imagination go, pretend you are a true cowboy from a hundred years ago.  If you need a barn for your horse, we have that too.

Many folks enjoy coming back to our county fair.  This is a wholesome place to bring your children.  It is a “Home owned Carnival”, lots of games and rides for everyone.  Most kids win at the games they play.  Some come back year after year just for the fair.  You may see food or livestock auctions, which is a great leaning experience.

We also cater to those who want to get away to the country for a Bed and Breakfast retreat, family  gathering, and corporate gatherings.

We will work hard to make your visit enjoyable and memorable.
